My two cats just recently started getting REALLY lazy when it comes to burying their waste.

I have two cats, one is about 7 months, the other around 3 months old. They are constantly playing, and it seems they want to get in and out of the litter box as fast as possible because they are not even bothering to bury their crap!

Any ideas? I am sick of my apartment smelling like cat crap!!

My older female has never really learned and I just could never figure out how to teach her.

Have you switched litter recently? Maybe their box is too small or the area is not comfortable for them.

Also, consider an automatic cleaner box, that may help.

I have 2 cats like that, one is the alpha cat so I think with him he wants his scent known to the other cats. The only thing I can do is when I pass by the box I tilt it and cover it with the litter or sometimes one of the other cats will cover it for him.

It is because one is being alpha cat. My Rosie never covers her's either.

What brand of food are you giving them?. Because if you feed them a cheap low quality brand it will smell. My cats eat Royal Canin, and yes it's not cheap, but their litterbox doesn't smell.

How often do you scoup their litter as well, and how many boxes do you have?, because really you should scoup twice a day
