Texan new to site

Hi everybody! I'm looking forward to learning from all of you. My main focus right now is a stray that I enclosed in a bedroom four days ago. I've been managing a colony for several years now, and it's dwindling. From my screen name, I'm sure you can tell that I already have a brood at home - all of these strictly indoor pets. My husband is a HUGE dog lover, but I converted him into a cat lover, too. Once we rescued a litter of TEN puppies and their mother! All were adopted out to very happy families. All of our pets were strays. I've done the right thing by all of them - all fixed, all tried to find their owners, then kept them. I'm 6 years from retiring from Federal Service and I can foresee me working at the stray cat problem until the day I die. ;-D))

And a big welcome to you! If your colony is dwindling, that tells me that you are an excellent caregiver to them!! I've been working with ferals for close to 20 years now, so what you do is close to my heart!!

I'm also married to a dog lover, and have converted him over to cats also. We're down to 3 dogs and 10 cats here, but the entire neighborhood's dogs hang out on our property, so its not unusual to hang out with 9 dogs in our yard.
