I'm making patty melts on sourdough bread, with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions. Not sure what else we are having with them, maybe just some strawberries I picked up yesterday.

I am thinking it would be a nice night for some pork chops and mushroom gravy with a side of noodles of course.

Well, since yesterday was my last day before a month of vacation, and the eve of Canada Day, we had a "Friday Dinner" -- Lamb Chops with rosemary on the BBQ with Grilled Asparagus (doing that a lot lately -- we really love it) and Jasmine Rice. Fresh rhubarb from the garden in a Rhubarb Crisp with Ice Cream for dessert.

Tonight -- the nice weather continues, so it will be BBQ for sure, maybe chicken wings, maybe smokies. Either way some salad things and maybe some oven fries on the BBQ. And for sure the rest of the Rhubarb Crisp.

Susan - Not to make you jealous but it's only 17C here right now!
I have all the windows open! It was absolutely horrid last week, though! I was melting. I came home and made Chicken Teriyaki . Mama couldn't keep her nose out of my plate so she got some mini rice balls

And it's like 5C here in NZ!
Tonight I had a burger from work. I might cook something really scrummy for lunch today - salmon, cream cheese and lemon pepper on toast.

Steak for me tonight, with a baked potato and some sauteed zucchini. An for dessert most likely some watermelon if I have any room left in my tummy.

Need an early easy dinner, and we'll be up at the mall so will pick up sushi. That'll be nice.

I prefer the cooler weather rather than this horrible uncomfortable heat

It was cooler today so i had a baked potatoe with a WW chicken curry and rice over it, and it was lovely!

Oh you thrive in the cold do you? Next winter I'll send some -25 your way and see how you like it!
OMG, can you even imagine Wellington covered in snow? It's already crazy enough to drive around.

sounds good! Just curious, I thought "prawns" was a British/ Australasian way of saying "shrimp". Do you say prawns over in the West Coast, or do you just happen to more sophisticated than your average Canuck?

Tonight was soup from a box and toast, washed down by a couple of beers. Yep, I'm on my second beer already!

We're having fried chicken and deep fried zucchni and mushrooms. Hubby has been much of the cooking since this broken rib, it's really sidelined me!
