Tonight, however, is probably Butter Chicken, Papadums and Gujerati Green Beans, with mango (possibly drunken) over ice cream for dessert.
And I guess "probably" was the operative word in that statement. The sun came out. So of course we fired up the BBQ. The Chicken tenders that were going to go into the Butter Chicken got introduced to some BBQ sauce for a short time and then threaded on skewers for grilling, and there was asparagus available for grilling, and little new potatoes just boiled and buttered and parslied. And the mango (yes, drunken) ended up in crepes.

Mmmmm...sounds good. I'm not very into dinner tonight. No one, including myself, will be home, LOL. Maybe Subway on the way home from working with the horses...

Another scorcher here today and I think dinner will reflect that.
I am planning on a light meal of crackers, cheese, cucumbers, celery, and some fruit.
It won't be for awhile however I splurged and had a jumbo Strawberry/Banana/Orange Slushie to help me cool down after work. It was really good but that's a lot of fluid I am feeling slightly water logged.

Hotter then you know what here again today.

Just salad for me tonight, Romaine lettuce, iceberg, cucumbers, tomatos, radish, red pepper, shredded chedder, and some sliced ham. All mixed with a nice Golden Caesar dressing. For dessert some frozen peach yogurt..

Forgot to come back and post last night's.
Thick slices of ham, pan warmed, oven fries, sauteed green beans. Some nice chocolate with the last of our wine for dessert.

Tonight, quasi Greek. Prawns Youvetsi, Rice Pilaf, but I don't have everything for Greek Salad, so just a little tomato and lettuce garnish I think. Not sure about dessert.

And before many more minutes pass, I need to go and rescue a couple of pans of croutons from the oven.

Stopped by the deli on my way home from work and got a nice roast beef sandwich, and some pasta salad. For dessert a slice of watermelon.

I think I might just have to have another slice of watermelon before bed.

I found cutting it and sticking it in the freezer for about 15 minutes makes for a nice cool and refreshing snack.

I was think a omelette sounded good for tonight as well. However I think I will make mine Spanish, with onion, green peppers and salsa. Watermelon for dessert also sound pretty yummy.

Well, the kids are away this weekend, so it's just Rob and me, and I think we'll get a veal fix. If I see nice chops, I'll put them on the BBQ, otherwise I'll get some scallopini slices and do the house favourite "Veal Tarragon". Pasta of some sort and a salad with the latter; grilled things with the former -- maybe yams and asparagus. I'm sure there's rhubarb ready to be used, so that will probably figure in dessert.

I had spaghetti with meat sauce, topped with parmesan cheese. Nothing fancy, but quite delicious all the same. So glad I've been doing a lot of day shifts lately, I miss having real dinners like this every night.
