So not about food per se, but water is so important to a healthy cat...

My Deluxe Fresh Flow Water Fountain finally kicked the bucket after 6 years. It cracked along the bottom and just leaks so I'm going to have to replace it. What I loved about it was the deep well at the base, and the "slide" the water could run down to minimize noise. What I hated - cleaning it! So many pieces that had to fit just so and be taken apart. It was a headache! And with my cats being long haired the pump would often get clogged and the whole thing would have to be taken apart to get the water to flow correctly again.

So I've been shopping around for some new fountains (my cats prefer running water to bowls of water) and have kind of come up with three I'm interested in. I would love to know if any of you have had experience with these or if you know of an even better water fountain for cats.

Option A: Drinkwell 360 fountain - supposed to be easy to clean, but is it noisy?
Option B: Cat It fountain - looks a little small and not thrilled about attached cat food bowl.
Option C: The Bubbler Cat Waterer - doesn't appear to filter the water.

Any advice would be great!

I have no experience with the models you mentioned, we have the drinkwell platinum model.. i chose it for the actual flow of water vs it running down like on a wall.

I don't find it noisy, it's can a be a bit of pain to clean but i think all fountains are..

All my pets use it, cats and dogs... quite a few love the actual flow of water and drink straight from it, others prefer to drink from the bowl part.

After our Petmate Freshflow broke (the motor burned out) we tried the CatIt fountain. The cats liked it, but I hated how hard it was to clean. After that we tried a cheap fountain that was similar to the Drinkwell Original, which led to us buying a Drinkwell.

I'm a little skeptiical of the Drinkwell 360, mostly because it's new so I don't know the longevity of the product. And it doesn't have the extra reservoir I need with 3 cats.

So, of your choices, I would pick the CatIt.

Thanks for the replies!

I have to admit - I'm always a bit hesitant to spend a lot of money on items that may end up being ignored by the cats, or that promise to much (let's talk about the filtered air litter box - $$$ down the drain!).

I will look into the Drinkwell Platinum model and further into the Cat It... Maybe I should just invent one! LOL!
