Hi folk,

We had a really good show on the weekend! I thought after the first day (Saturday) it wasn't going to very successful but Fluffy did so well on the second day. I didn't take any photos of the show, and our next show isn't for 3 weeks!
The best part of the show was meeting Kellye (Kiwideus) and her son and hubby! That was so fun!

Fluffy had 8 Persians in her class (Entire Cats) and Tales & Twinkle had 8 Exotics in their class (Entire Kittens), not including other breeds!

Champion Captivating Sweet Escape ("Fluffy")

Ring 1. No Result

Ring 2. No Result

Ring 3. 4th Best Persian, 7th Best in Show

Ring 4. 4th Best Persian, 9th Best in Show, Best Eye Colour

Ring 5. BEST Persian, 3rd Best in Show, BEST type & Best Groomed

Ring 6. 2nd Best Persian, 3rd Best in Show, BEST Type

Captivating Telling Tales ("Tales")

Ring 3. 4th Best Exotic, 10th Best in Show

Ring 5. 5thBest Exotic

Wildfire Starlight Express ("Twinkle")

Ring 3. 3rd Best Exotic, 9th Best in Show

Ring 4. Best Exotic, 4th Best in Show

Ring 5. 2nd Best Exotic, 8th Best in Show

I am so proud of Fluffy. I think she is a Grand champion now!

Did you say your Nana knows Pam Delabar?
Thanks Jacky. Yup Pam stayed with my Nana Sue 2 years ago!

Cleo got 7th place in her ring.
I did not even know she was the CFA president until my Mentor told me.
Is CFA connected to what you show in?

No it's not connected - my association the New Zealand Cat Fancy is a member of the World Cat Congress (WCC) and CFA is too

Well done!

You've been working very hard this season (it seems as if you attend a show every weekend)!

I'm a little envious of those of you who show. It's a lot of work, for sure, but it sounds fun. None of my boys meets the standard for his breed (but make no mistake, they rule!).

Yup! I've been to 6 or 7 shows already this year with another 10 or so to go. It will be good to have a 3 week break that's for sure. Fluffy was the youngest adult in her section, so I'm really proud for what she has achieved so far. She has won a total of 9 Best Eye colour awards already this year. Thank you!

You know I plan on looking for another sphynx soon.
I'm not sure - I didn't pay much attention to the SH section but I did watch the Entire Cats & Entire Kittens because my Nana was judging. There were heaps of D Rex!

Congrats to all for a good show. I have to bring in the rest of the stuff (with the catalog) later and will post Jack's results at his last kitten show

How did you do, Nial?

Thanks! It's a hard road showing high white bicolours/vans since they are not so uncommon here in NZ. If I counted up right Fluffy is now a Grand Champion, if she's not only a few more points to go. Not too bad for 14 months old.

Mine are all CFA-registered, which I believe makes them ineligible (?). And in any case, I'm sure that at least one of the breeders involved would not grant permission. I realize that I could show a moggie if I were to adopt one, but I'm at my limit.

Congratulations again to Wellingtoncats, though!

Not bad for their first show. The 5 month old boy got 3 finals. 2nd, 3rd and 4th best all breed kitten.
The 6 month old girl got 2 finals. 4th and 8th best all breed kitten.

I was happy with that.

Sam good luck on your next show.
Thanks Jacky. I didn't reply on your thread - but good luck with the show in August. It feels like so far away. August is a heavy month for cat shows for me.
