Thanks Sam,
After August I will be doing 1-2 shows a month.
All are CFA except the TICA show in Oct which is the closest show to my house.
Most of them are more then 2 hours from here.
I would have gone to Reno this weekend but it just did not work out.
August seems like a long time but it will come fast.

Instead of making a new thread for these results I thought I would post in this thread. Here's our show results from the past show on the weekend:

Fluffy was competing against 9 Persians for the breed and 22 Longhair Cats for the top ten. Tales was competing against 7 Exotics and 12 Longhair kittens for the top ten.

Ch Captivating Sweet Escape

Ring 3 - Best Eye Colour, no breed or top ten placing

Ring 4 - 2nd Best Persian, 8th Best in show and Best Eye Colour

Captivating Telling Tales

Ring 4 - 4th Best Exotic and 7th Best in show

Fluffy was entered in 3 rings and Tales in 2 because both Nana & I were judging. Fluffy is unofficially a Grand champion but until I get the certificate in the mail I will not change her title - I think she needs 45 more points before she becomes a Double Grand Champion. That is our goal for the rest of the season.

Our next show is coming up this weekend. It is the National so I do not expect any placings there. 6 rings and the finest cats in the country competing. It will be good to see the cats though and I love to see good cats win!

On a different note - my judging is going well. I have completed and passed my 4 judging assignments - so far I've judged 107 exhibits. I need to judge 43 more and complete and pass 2 more assignments before I can move onto the next stage of my judging - which is judging Entire Cats under supervision

Congratulations
Fluffy is doing very well to gain her title so young.

Glad your judging is going so well too

Good luck for the Nationals
we had ours last month and it's a massive show with the best of the best. I thought we'd get nothing but both girls got 9th in group under international judges (out of 118 kittens and 50 or so neuters each)

Congrats on Fluffy being a GC.
Thanks Jacky. I have a great sign that I put in front of me when I am judging too. I must take a photo of it.

I didn't get any photos on the weekend - it was my club's own show so I was very busy when I was completed. I still have a couple of photos to share from the show before. I will definitely take my camera with me this weekend to the National.

Thanks. She could easily be a Gold Double Grand Champion now but it has taken a while for her to grow her coat and some judges don't like so much white on their Bicolours. I'm happy to take it slow though. She's won 11 Best Eye Colour awards so far so to me that is a feat in itself.

Thanks again!

Thanks Amanda. I'm just happy when Fluffy gets in the breed class - with 9 Persians of all good quality, a 2nd Best of breed was the best for me!

Are you going to the National in Perth? (CCC of A?). That's a fantastic result from the National. Our National show this year is small with a total of 335 cats in total that includes all LH, SH, Domestic & Companion but it will still be the biggest show of the year.

Sam,
I would love to see the sign.
I am glad she did well in eye color.
I heard there will be some decorating contests at some of the shows Cleo will be in.

No, bit too far for me. Only went to the ACF nationals because they were held in my state this year

We had the National cat show on the weekend. There were 62 kittens against Tales and 51 cats against Fluffy

Tales didn't get any breed awards but there were 20 exotics in her class. The comments from the judges were encouraging and that made me feel my money was well spent.

Fluffy was against 18 Persians and she won a 4th Best Persian and a 7th Best Persian. She also won an unoffical 11th Best in show (no points or prizes but made me thrilled nonetheless!).

I took a few photos of the show, I'll upload them to Fur Pics and post a link to the thread from here when I'm done. Our next show is my clubs very own show and it's on the 18th of July

Thanks Amanda!

We had quite a few Aussie judges at our show. From memory Val Harney, Lesley MB, Lesley Batiste, Pat Andrew & Barb Martland. Lesley Batiste was a ring in judge.

Barb is local and one of my favourite judges, she's talks a lot which I like (and usually puts my cats up
) She and her daughter breed Exotics, but you probably know that.

Did you get any pics taken? There was a link to a photographers site on another forum, there were some Persian pics I didn't look through everything as there are many photos.

Yup Arrakish Exotics - our youngest Australian import has all her lines in it. So I was not surprised when she liked the look of Fluffy. She also put up a kitten my Nana bred Best in show. It was a shame she didn't judge the kittens because she liked a kitten, Happy, my Nana was showing.

Yup I've got about 20 pics to upload of all the top cats at the show. I haven't looked at the professional pics but I will do - I didn't get any pics of mine taken. Thanks for reminding me.

I've been really slack with pics so here are the few pics I got from the Queen's birthday weekend show, I'll make a seperate thread for pics from last weekend (the National)

My Nana was judging Shorthair Entire Cats. Here are her top 4.

From L to R - Burmese, Siamese (My caramel lynxpoint baby), Russian Blue & Australian Bombay

Kellye & I (Kiwideus) at the show

ETA: I cracked up at the second pic - those kitties are being difficult!

Oh and BTW that's what our "Finals" look like in NZ. The owners bringing them out for the top awards.

EATA: A kitten my Nana bred was the supreme exhibit at that show, a White Persian neuter kitten

Thanks for the pictures Sam.
We do not hold are cats at the end of the finals in CFA.
We just tae them back to the benching area after.
Do you mind if I post your judging sign in another group?
It is great you posted a Russian Blue again.

Love the second pic.

We often get our top 5 out too, more judges seem to be doing it now.

Congratulations to your nanna and kitten

It's nice to take them out. I wish I had photos of Fluffy & I up there now - because it probably wont happen again!

The RB is NZ's leading Russian at the moment - he is just gorgeous!

I don't mind at all if you post my sign

Thanks Amanda. Both Nana & I agreed that the kitten shouldn't have been Supreme though - since our Entire Kitten and N/S Kitten sections are seperate the N/S Section is really small so even though he got 3 Best in shows and 1 R/UP there were only a total of 4 kittens.
Whereas in Fluffy's section I think there were 22.
