Hello! Wow! It's been over two years since I was last here. My how time flies....

Yesterday my husband and I adopted a brother/sister littermate pair from a local animal rescue. Our two older cats (Kinko and Chloe, brother/sister littermate pair) are now 7 and beautiful and happy but not quite sure what to think yet of their new brother and sister.

My photo album on facebook should be open so I'm posting the link here:

The new babies are named Harley (orange boy) because he has the loudest purr coming from the smallest body I have ever seen. And Sasha (tuxedo girl) who needed a small, delicate, wispy name to match her.

Thanks for the welcome back!

Pam - they are just 12 weeks old (just - ha!) but I wouldn't have wanted them any younger. To be honest - when I first read the ad from the rescue I had assumed we wouldn't be getting them until 16 weeks, but they were ready and willing yesterday so we took them. They were listed as Maine Coon mixes, so I've got my fingers crossed that they will be as fluffy as the Maine Coon mixes we already have. I'm no stranger to long haired cats, now it's just double! LOL

There should've been a cuteness warning for this post because, when I took a look at the pics of your new babies, I about fell over flat on my face!

Harley and Sasha are the cutest teeny-tiny kittens that I've seen in a long time. I love the longer-haired breeds and your two definitely look like they'll have the maine coon look to them as they mature. I, myself, have a long-haired red and white female named Cassidy and I think she's the most beautiful cat I've ever seen (along with my shorter-haired brown and white tabby named Delaney). But I have a feeling your two kittens will give my Cass a run for her money in the future.

Of your two, tuxedo-kitty Sasha steals my heart. But Harley's a looker too and they both just look so sweet that I want to scoop them up and snuggle them forever.

They. Are. Both. Just. So. Darn. Cute.

But, really, you teased us. I think I need to see pics of your other two kitties, Chloe and Kinko! But, next time, warn me before I fall backwards from the sheer cuteness of your cats
. And while I'm a newer member and certainly didn't know you before, I sure am glad you found your way back to us! I definitely am looking forward to seeing more of you and your kitties around!

Hi Alison Joy!
Thank you for the compliments!

Harley and Sasha were up all night and a little cranky from being cramped in the master bathroom. Hopefully they will be happier tonight since I have now given them free reign of the master bedroom as well. I added some more photos of them in various stages of sleep to that photo album.

But since you requested...

Here are some photos of Kinko and Chloe at various ages. They were the fluffiest kittens out of the litter and of course I had to have them! But I am very glad not to be dealing with such small kittens again, that was a lot of work!

I'd love to see photos of Cassidy and Delany! Do you have any on this forum?

Your 2 new kitties are simply adorable!! Little Sasha has stolen my heart! She looks exactly how my baby girl Spike looked when I found her 16yrs ago! Thank you for bringing up nice memories for me!

I'm so sorry to hear about Spike.
That's something I'm dreading and just try to think everyday about cherishing them and their loving, quirky habits. Memories are a wonderful thing!

I have to admit, I didn't pick Sasha. I knew I wanted a brother/sister littermate and an orange tabby. So I wanted Harley and was indifferent to which of the 2 females I got. But after my first day with her I was in LOVE!!!!

Even my husband has a soft spot for her. She is so much smaller than her brother (who got huge in a week - I took them back to the rescue for their shots and the women there were like "Wow! He got so long!" He's going to be a nice big fluffy
), so dainty in her mannerisms, her mew is so tiny and she only does it once in awhile that it's like magical bells when you hear her do it.

I've completely fallen in love with her little face.

I hope I have as many wonderful memories with her as you with your Spike. Cats are a blessing.

Hello & welcome back. I don't use facebook so couldn't see your babies. Maybe you could put them on here?
