I will be attending

It took a bit of debating on costs and such, but I am pretty excited to be going. I'll be bringing one kitten that will be staying in Baltimore, and one kitten will come with me to enter in the show (if she doesn't hate showing). We'll put her in a few rings with gentle judges as she will be just 4 months old. I have been traveling with my kittens to get them used to it, but a plane trip will be a new thing.

The least of your worries is the plane trip. Most cats dig flying!

I'm not sure how long the plane trip is for you? My kitten is off to her 5th show this weekend (in 7 weeks) and 2nd on a plane - she's a seasoned traveller but the first two shows she loved it. Four months is a good age to get them used to travelling. Oh and my kitten is 5 1/2 months old!

Good luck for the show! I'll be having a break that weekend from going away and getting ready for one of my own club's shows, Wellington Cat Club the week later!

Thanks all. I brought out the flying crate today and had all three kittens inside playing and rolling around. I finally had to take it away as they thought it was the neatest thing they've seen in a while. They've also discovered how much fun bed-making day is. Three of them tearing around under the sheets as we try to tuck them in is definitely interesting.

I'm excited about going, but I'm also a bit scared. Usually I am the only Mau owner at the show, now I will be surrounded by the best Maus in North America. Oh well, great experience and I will learn a lot.

Go and have fun and learn a lot. I would have LOVED to have attended the show in SC where they had 12 Ocicats competing (in 10 out of 12 colors). Jack was a kitten at the show.

Would have loved to been there just to see and hear the comments from the judges!
