Help me choose, cat clock

our living room wall clock died yesterday and I can't go without one, it drives me nuts, lol. That was our only clock in the house except the bedside alarm clock.

I need something cheap and I've narrowed it down to these two from cafepress but I can't seem to decide which one I prefer. Help me choose!

Clock 1

Clock 2

The second one gets my vote.

BUT I choose the firts one!..

How does the room that you intend to put it in look decor wise? Obviously yellow and red won't work that well in say a room that's mostly decorated in blues or purples for example.

I like them both but not knowing your decor, I picked the first one that would go with everything
post #6 of 26
The first one for me because it'll go with any colour

I chose the first one. It's simple and the black and white is very nice!!!

We have no decorating scheme Our furniture is old and nothing matches, so it doesn't really matter what color the clock is

I still prefer the 1st one

I love the 2nd one! I have that poster framed and hanging in my basement!

Clock 1 - for a very good reason. Its black/white - you can put it on any wall in any room and not worry about what color is on the walls.

With the other you are limited in what color the room/wall is. And I don't like yellow.....

The black one definitely. I am looking for a cat clock myself and may just order this one but it will go in the kitchen probably. Hey thanks for this good idea.

I really prefer the first one.

The second one seems to Halloweenish for me.

#1 if you want to keep is easy. #2 if you have aspirations to decorate and use those colors anytime soon.

With furniture covers and throw pillows you could easily update a living room. While I'm not a fan of bright yellow, golds are great to decorate with. I've also seen the picture on the second clock recently at Hobby Lobby - a very large framed picture of it, in fact. It was beige, red, black, and white - if you really love that picture and would still want to work it in somehow.

Ok, I've gone with #1 and ordered that one. Now I'll just have to wear my watch all the time at home until it arrives!

I say the first one but I like them both.

Well, I voted for the one you ordered. I like the kitty in it better.

They're both pretty and you couldn't go wrong with either. I voted for Clock #2 because I love French art posters.

I just voted now - for the first one. So glad you chose that one!
I picked the first one.

And I might just have to pick it for my house too! We only have 1 clock in the house other than the kitchen appliances and our alarm clock, and the black & white would fit right in with our mostly black/white house and 2 black furbabies.

First one here too!

2nd one! Only because I LOVE that print I have it hanging up in my living room! my sister brought me back a print from Tournee du Chat Noir when she went to Paris. Since its a bar. She told me it translates to Black Cat Bar and that Toulouse-Laurtec designed and painted the very famous sign. I just like it because of the scary looking black cat.

I like the second; but it's kind of Halloweenish for my taste; so I voted for #1.

I got the first one and it arrived yesterday. It is very cute, however, when the hands are over the black cat part you can't see them! I should have thought of that

Doug is going to try to take the plastic cover off today and paint a white dot on the ends of the hands so we can see them when it is 4-6 o'clock!

Yes - Toulouse-Lautrec poster! But I would have picked the first one for decor.

I missed this one when you first posted but I voted for Chat Noir. I have that poster framed in my bathroom along with a couple of other Chat Noir posters that I picked up in Paris. There's actually an entire series of them if you like French posters.

But most folks are right - the black and white will fit most decor.
