to save money by going to a salon i waxed my legs last night, and now i have severe large bruises on my right leg but none on my left leg!

Can anyone explain why?
it looks pretty funny as its not just one large circle it is a large circle but with little tiny bruised circles in it its weird!

That happened to me when I tried to wax my legs. They looked TERRIBLE! It makes sense if you think about it. You're yanking your hair out, which in turn pulls your skin insanely hard and fast. I bruise very easy though, so I wasn't to surprised.

Next time make sure you pull the wax/strips along your legs (horizontally), and don't pull up. If you pull the strips (or wax) up, you can pull the skin away from the muscle, ouch! You shouldn't have bruises, it takes some practice, though.

Good for you for doing this yourself! I always found the back of the thighs to be the most difficult part but once you figure out which way the hair grows, it's much easier.

Yes it is possible to get bruises from waxing and/or sugaring if you don't remove it properly.

Apply the sugar/wax in the direction of hair growth.

Let's use your shin for an example.

Apply the sugar/wax in a downward direction to an area approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inches wide and about 4 or 5 inches long.

When removing, hold the skin tight just below the bottom edge of the sugar/wax, IE: press and pull downwards towards your ankle

While holding the skin on your leg, grab hold of the wax/sugar and pull it backwards towards your knee. When you are pulling you are not pulling up and back. Instead pull directly backwards. Your hand that is pulling the sugar/wax off should be in contact with your leg at all times.

Pulling upwards and back causes trauma and is very painful.

You need to pull very close to, along the skin, instead of up - this is essential in preventing bruising... Make sure to apply the wax in the same direction of the hair growth, and pull in the opposite direction, holding the skin tight.
