There's a graphic on the bottom of each and every page which, for some reason or other, doesn't want to load and slows down the page-loading process considerably. This seems to have begun happening today, at my end at least.

Here's its address: <http://hg1.hitbox.com/HG?hc=w109&l=y...&cd=1&n=forums>.

It never does load, for me; and so I just use my browser's "stop" button so as to get on with the show. You might want to check on that situation.

Thanx!

That graphic, which was pokey and didn't want to work this morning, has decided to get off its dead butt and work this evening! Thank you, whatever cosmic force is responsible.

Just to explain - this graphic is actually the counter for the site. It lets me gather needed statistics about page views and such. In return the company that runs the service uses that space for running their ads.

To get rid of the graphic and keep the stats would cost me over 1000$ a month (yes, that's one thousand US dollars a month!)
