Interestingly enough, Nancy Pelosi is in Beijing, China. I imagine it wasn't planned around her trip, but I'm also sure that Kim Jong Ill is using it to snub his nose just a little more at the US.

Interesting that no one is commenting on this?

North Korea has announced that it is no longer bound to the 1953 treaty with South Korea that came about because of the Korean War (1950-1953). Russia fears that the conflict has the potential to go nuclear. http://in.reuters.com/article/worldN...nnel=0&sp=true

Interesting that this isn't bigger news here in the US. This is huge internationally!

I find it frightening. My Hubby says,"who is giving them all this money to do such things. Why does not China and Russia get on top of this." He is an army brat.

I really understand why the countrys still trying to make their own arsenal.... is like if some bomb don´t affect their own territory.......

The impression I get listening to the "watercooler talk" at work is that people aren't concerned because N. Korea doesn't have a missile with the range to hit the continental US.

They don't seem to realize that we have several thousand troops in Japan and South Korea...and, terrorists don't need military delivery systems. A good sized nuclear device inside a conex box on a container ship with a few feet of lead shielding to prevent detection would easily destroy a port city.

I don't know what to think about it. From what I read North Korea is a very poor country and has no natural resources so the danger is them selling nukes to bad guys. As if we don't have enough problems.

Another thing I read is that North Korea knows that the US is involved in a war elsewhere, so now it the time for them to make a move.
