£100,000, and they'll perform in front of members of the Royal family, including the Queen at The Royal Variety Performance.

Theres nothing up yet on who's performing in this years, but this was last years line up

http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pre.../variety.shtml

They'll also go on a live tour of the UK with other members of the contest doing 23 shows, and they'll be in my area on the 17th of June

You have to pay to vote in Britain? Is unlimited voting allowed the way it is here? I would think that would naturally cut down on the number of times a person voted (it would me anyway).

Sorry to disappoint all the people who are excited over susan boyle, but I'm so over her!! I feel like after the shocker of seeing a not so typical contestant do surprisingly well, there isn't much left in her to keep me interested. Yes, she can sing. So can so many others, she isn't so incredibly special as some people make her out to be.

Yes you pay, and you'd be suprised how many vote more than once. I had a friend vote 8 times for singer Gareth Gates a few years ago.

Susan Boyle has competition because this 17 year old, Shaun Smith just got through tonight and he was good!!

Susan, do you know if the dance act Flawless got through? They were fantastic!

Susan Boyle definitely is not a shoe in to win. She impressed due to nobody expecting her to do much, but I think that's wearing off. Shaheen Jafargholi was great, Shaun Smith was great, and Flawless did an amazing act. I wish they showed Britain's Got Talent here - I have to keep relying on YouTube!

I watched the link with the 17-year-old kid, and I still think Susan is better. Not because of how she looks, or whatever she's done to fix her teeth, but for HOW SHE SINGS! What a voice on that woman!

If she loses, can the Queen invite her "over to sing" anyway? Sorry, I'm not up on the protocol for these things.

For those who can't get that link to work, here is the You Tube version:

I wasn't really impressed. His voice range (tone? depth? pitch?) is very nice. Sexy even. But I thought his voice was too shaky and he doesn't really have much stage presence. For most of his performance he was doubled over like he was having an appendix attack

For some reason I can't see videos at that site. I tried looking him up in You Tube, but only managed to find what looks like his original audition.

Not sure what was up with Simon or if it was an act on his part and he knew something in advance and "set it up" to stop him and get him to sing something else, or perhaps the fact that given that he has his own recording label that he recognized the kid was hugely talented but was singing the wrong song.

Anyway, all I have to say about the kid's voice is "Holy Crap!!!!" He's awesome. I just hope that when his voice changes it doesn't affect his singing ability, because he's got a voice made to sing the Blues!!

I think that was the case. Looking at him you could see he was thinking he needed a more powerful song to sing, and it worked

Susan Boyles being harrassed by the gutter press already

I'll make sure i get you tube clips as well so you can see them

I think her problem will be that lots of people will be saying things about her, and due to her relatively sheltered life, she won't be able to laugh them off. You're in the public eye, and people will say bad things about you, for attention, because they're rude, or they just don't care.

Anyone who's used the internet extensively knows that there's just idiots out there, and not to take it personally. If you are not used to that, it's going to be very hard. And I'm guessing that since she has learning difficulties, her brain wouldn't be functioning at the same level as the sort of celebrities that are used to this. It's going to be very hard for her. I mean, even the most gorgeous, talented people have many detractors - you'll never please everyone.

Your right Sarah. It's probably all too much for her
It's on the news now she's talking of backing out on saturday.

This is who won this evening. It's not the latest performance because theres nothing up yet on youtube. It's Julian Smith the saxophonist. I'm so pleased as well because i'm a huge Kenny G fan and he was excellent

Heres the link for those that can see the Britains got talent
