How often do I feed? I've had Fin for about a month. I've been giving him dry food, free fed. I have noticed that he doesn't drink much water. His bowl never goes down, so he must be drinking from the dogs bowl (something my kelpie is unlikely to allow) or the tiolet, though I do remember to close it most of the time.

So I'm switching him to wet food.

For the people who feed wet only, how often do you feed? Is twice a day good?

There's no place like home
I feed twice a day. The dogs get to lick up the remnants of the food that the cats don't finish (just crumbs), so nothing goes to waste here.

Have you started to switch to wet and are you having any problems with the transition? The reason I ask: some cats are just stubborn about switching.

I started last night. He eats it, no problem. He's never been real finicky, ever since I got him, it's been more like, "oh, yay, food!"

He was in good health when I found him, and not skinny or anything, but he has bulked up a bit. I estimate him at about a year-ish, so that could just be him growing up.

He just eats a little at a time though. I gave him 2 ounces this morning, and he has eaten about half that in two meals (refridgerated between meals, he doesn't seem to care that it's cold).
