Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
He does have an amazing voice. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another Stevie I love - not a voice that can melt butter, but a song that, for whatever reason, always makes me get misty. And yes, it is the original, with Ginger Baker and Eric Clapton, in 1969. I'm such a hippie sometimes!

That man has a voice that can melt butter. Most of his videos on YouTube are fairly suggestive, and might be a little too racy for a family oriented site. I love "Wicked Game" and "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing."

These are a little less steamy!

He plays the Meadow Brook Music Festival every summer. I've rarely missed one of his concerts....they are great. He's a wonderful musician and a bit of a stand up comic! Gotta go look for tickets!!!

Edit:
WooooHoooo!!!! 7/19/09, Meadow Brook Music festival!!!! I'm there!!!!
Yes yes yes!!! I love Chris Isaak and have seen him live twice in Australia
He plays at a small venue not far from me each year (he's a Californian boy I believe), and am planning to see him this year

I tired reading through some of the comments there were soo many of them!
Be prepared....I LOVE music!!
As a kid I had two cassette tapes, Dirty Dancing and Alan Jackson's Who I Am. I fell in love with Alan, even wanted to marry him
I still love him and finally got to see him in concert last fall....i about fainted when he came out!!! I swear i must have cried most of the show. lol I have been to a lot of concerts....this one was by far the best. He got me through some really tough times in my childhood, it helped keep me happy
.
Alan Jackson---Livin On Love
Alan Jackson---Remember When
This one requires a few tissues...Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning by Alan Jackson. Its a tribute to 9/11.

I also love rock, alternative stuff like Saosin, saw them in concert too. I love their music, and Cove Reber's voice. They were also really nice when i met them, unlike other bands who think they are too cool to talk to fans

Saosin---Youre Not Alone
Saosin---Voices
Saosin---It's Far Better To Learn
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEMgIAQk1Go

Then there is Three Days Grace who is more rock than Saosin, but i just love their music!! My first and fave song is Just Like You, the summer it came out (like 2003-2004?) I would sit through hours of music videos on tv just to see it! Cause at the time i had no laptop...lol Most of their other songs are deeper or darker i should say so ill just post this one
.
(Oh and I think the lead singer is hot!
)
Three Day's Grace---Just Like You

I will post more later, as you can see i like lots of music!

But when I first heard "Riviera Paradise," I sat there and wept. No words at all, and none needed. It was a real revelation to me.

And of course, it turned out Stevie Ray was one of the great blues singers of all time, too... best of both worlds. What a precious gift he had!

I usually post links to the more accessible stuff I listen to. The classic rock, AOR/melodic rock and more mainstream metal.

At the moment I still have Opeth and Enslaved songs stuck in my head since both bands put on an awesome concert in OKC Wednesday night. (even though I got stuck next to a guy who kept farting during Enslaved and near a moron who jumped around during Opeth... and smelled like vinegar?
)

Opeth - Ghost of Perdition Maybe these will work since ones on Youtube won't.

Enslaved - The Watcher

Enslaved - Isa And they closed with this, which was great. Hopefully I wasn't the only woman in the audience growling/singing along with it... otherwise that would have explained the odd look I got from Grutle (the vocalist).

And Dream Theater's new one A Rite of Passage. Can't wait till the new album comes out next month!

^And I just realized that's all prog metal.
For extra fun people should look up Eloy - 70s progressive krautrock.
I was listening to a lot of that earlier this week.

(oh I have some interesting Jimmy Buffett concert stories that I can't share in open forum!
)

I got to see both Buckwheat Zydeco and the Neville Brothers at 2 different venues one night in New Orleans (before Katrina).
I need some more zydeco.

This is some of my playlist lately:
Southern Culture on the Skids
PellMell
Squirrel Nut Zippers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ti5W...eature=related

One time I missed their concert and drove out to Denver where they happened to be playing. I told them I drove all the way out there to see them and they invited me on the stage with them because they were so impressed that they had a devoted fan.

And yes, there is a SCOTS CD playing on our CD right now.
