Important information!!**nutro recall

Thanks for the heads up. I feed the Max Cat canned food only, so I'm ok.

Dagnabit. I JUST bought two bags of Nutro yesterday and had fed the kittens with the kitten kibbles. Thanks to this site I got the notice so quickly, because I called the store today and they are just taking bags off the shelf right now. Both of the bags I bought are recalled.... I sure as heck hope that the few kibbles my kittens ate aren't going to hurt them. I don't think so, because it seems that the nutrient ratio is just wrong, there is no poison in the bags. Obviously I am not letting them eat any more.

I'm sure your kits are ok. At least you caught it in time.

I know - my first impulse was to switch foods and start getting something else, but I like these brands. I feed the kitten food that comes in the pink bag from Nutro to both Sky and the kittens and they really like it. I also feed Go! Naturals canned food twice a day to the whole mess of cats and they have the kibbles to pick at all day. They are all healthy - happy cats...

The Nutro site has a lot of info about the recall including what they plan to do to make sure it doesn't happen again....
