Ahhh Da Bird. It really is the world's greatest toy! I discovered Gigi was watching me throw a cat toy back and forth with interest, so brought Da Bird out. I've been trying to get her out of her cage and comfortable with being in the bedroom itself and had no luck so far.

You'll see how that changed once I brought Da Bird out! This is her first session with Da Bird - she's been playing for a few minutes when I realised I needed to film it.

I don't know why the quality is so bad, but you get the idea

Wow! Look at her go!
She told you off in the end, didn't she! She and Tess share the same language.
Still, that's so good, and she looks pretty comfy sitting outside of the cage!

Looks like things are moving right along. I found it interesting that she hissed but it also looked like she was rubbing her side and maybe arching like she wanted to be petted. Could be wishful thinking on my part though.

She's so beautiful! And I agree, very petite! She's still skittish it seems, but she was enjoying Da Bird!
I hope she gets a wonderful furever home! She deserves to be loved and spoiled!

Yep - that's exactly what she was doing! She hisses, but arches her back, rubs against whatever, and occasionally purrs at the same time
The fact that she lay in front of the cage rather than racing back inside is huge!

We played again last night and used the Da Bird to make her come near us, then patter her then. At first she was surprised and hissed, and ran off, but came straight back for the toy, and we did it again and she turned away, but arched her back, third time she stayed still and arched. So already it's making a huge difference. I love this toy.

Da Bird is wonderful because it triggers their natural prey instincts, so even a cat that's not socialized to play will get on board with Da Bird. Good to see her out and about...maybe she'll learn the humans are not so bad
