Hi All,

I was wondering if you might be able to help me. I recently brought home a 9 week old bengal kitten. She is completely settled in, is very playful and curious. She is now 12 weeks. My small concern is: She is eating non stop. When i brought her home, she was a little kitten, but in three weeks, I already see a stomach on her ( like a round ball around her waist). I was told that you shouldn't limit kittens with food, but it look a little rediculous that she is playing 10 minutes, then goes for food, playing-food, sleeping-food, and so on the whole day. I sometime wake up at night, and she is still eating!

Is it normal or it is something that I should be concerned about?

thank you!

Kittens need alot of calories for all the growing they do in the first year of thier life! I would say she is fine! your supposed to have food available for kittens at all times! It is normal to be overly concerned when we have a new kitten too, enjoy her and stop worrying

As long as she is healthy (ie. doesn't have worms), it should be fine.

If you are worried, perhaps ring a vet and find out how to bring them a sample to test for worms.
