No thank you, you're not taking me to the vet.

I posted recently about my mom's cat having surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. (He's the sweet tabby pictured in my avatar.) I visited my mom on Mother's day and went to say "hello" to Grim, but he scurried away. I found him under the bed, as far in the corner as possible, facing away from me. I think he thought I was going to take him back to the vet, and he didn't want to go! It was kind of sad, but I had to laugh at how clever he is.

Awwww... Poor baby, you must've got him all spooked. They remember for a while don't they?

After Aya's spay, I had to turn around and go back to the vet an hour after picking her up to get her fitted for a conehead. Stubborn cat wouldn't leave her incision alone. The minute I boxed her up (that part wasn't too hard as I leave her carrier out at all times) stuffed her in the car and started the motor she new something was up and started meowing franticly and trying to dig her way out of a plastic cat carrier. 'You're not taking me back to that place where they torture cats! I don't wanna go!' I think she was saying.

That is so funny. I've had my cats get miffed with me and turn their backs on me like if they can't see me I don't exist.

My Nana's DSH used to go to cat shows and she hasn't been to one for a couple of years but everytime she pulls out a carry cage. Diamond remembers!

Yeah - my boyfriend's RB cat knew EXACTLY what the carrier was for and when he saw it... he made himself scarce!!!

I know what he was thinking - we're going to THAT place! They touch me, poke me, prod me, put something up my butt!

And... and...and... there are CATS there!!! Grrrrrrr!! Poor baby didn't like other cats. He had spent the first two years of his life with dogs. I think he thought he was one.
