I can finally relax a little now, but we are still waiting on Mao.
At 8:30 last night, Sadie stood up and started meowing non-stop, almost like a dog barking. She started running to me, but changed her mind and ran to Mao (who hissed and wacked her), and then she ran to the bedroom still meowing. Then for 1 and a half hours (meowing non-stop and wanting to be petted). I gave up on her, figuring it was a false alarm, like Mao has been giving us, and I left her in there alone. Then a few minutes later, I heard what sounded like baby kittens crying. I went in and it sounded like chaos! She'd had one under the dresser ( a solid-ginger) and ahe had JUST had one under the bed ( a tortie) and was eating the placenta. I moved the ginger to the nest and turned on the warming lamp, but I guess I frightened mama, because she jumped in and left the tortie, placenta attached. I put the tortie with mama, and she ate the placenta while having #3, a gray tabby, with the mainecoon "M" on it's head. She never did clean numbers 2 or 3 very well, so I helped her with that because it was chilly in the room and the lamp wasn't warm yet. Around midnight, during a thunderstorm, she had #4, solid-black on the back and tabby legs I think he has the "M" too, but I can't remember. The cat across the street is a male mainecoon, feral. Anyways, she didn't bo anything with #4, I think she was tired and confused. The other babies were crying, and she just left in its sack and curled up around the others. I got to clean him up and cut the cord (I had to pinch it). I put the placenta under mama's nose and she took care of it and then she took care of #4.
Today, all are doing well. Mama came out for a snack but she seems very lonely so I go visit her about once an hour.
I will get some pictures up soon, my pc is being worked on at the moment.

Gratz on the babies! Can't wait for pics. I have noticed with many many stray and feral tabby's they have the "M".

The "M" marking on their forehead is a trait of tabby cats, not of Maine Coon, although a lot of Maine Coons have tabby markings. So all tabby's will have the "M", but not all Maine Coons will have it.

Congrats on the babies!
