hey all, I reciently posted about our cat pooka being preggers. today she acted kinda funny and I wanted opinions. She is usually very affectionate and has been even more so durring her pregnancy. She was sitting on me and rolled over in my arms so that I was craddling her like a human baby, and rubbing her belly. she stayed like that for about 5 minutes then she rolled over and started head butting me in the face and licking my face. She even tried to stick her head in my mouth
DH noticed that she was in need of a little grooming assitance and suggested that I wipe her bottom--she has been having trouble cleaning all the poop off--she is quite round now. So I wiped her off with a damp towel and noticed that she was kind of leaking a little from her vaginal opening--after the cleaming she quickly jumped down and ran over to a kitty corner house thing that she has NEVER gone into before and was breathing fast. I watched her and loved on her for a few minutes then went to get her other nesting box--that she had seemed to enjoy, because the corner house was WAY to little for birthing. by the time I came back into the room she was out of the house and acting normal again. Then she took a nap. SO, was this a sign of labor coming soon or just a false alarm? I haven't had kittens before so I am very excited and somewhat nervous. thanks all!!
