this little girl has an odd habit :)

My Princess has this cutely odd habit.

when im sleeping, sometimes in the morning to wake me up, sometimes in the middle of the night and sometimes more than once thru the night she will come over and start kneading my hair, i feels like shes playing and combin thru my hair. Then when i open my eyes and look up and see those big round eyes and little furry face looking down at me...how can i get mad? ill actually just try to let her put me back to sleep or get up and pet and talk to her for a lil bit.

does anyone elses cat do this?

Hahaha my cat Napolean used to do it every night before bed. Now he just does it whenever he feels like it... sometimes he kneads my face too!

yeah sometimes she ends up kneading my face or neck too

She is just telling you that she loves you and she is extremely comfortable with you!! So Sweet!

My cat eats my hair while I'm sitting on the sofa. Wouldn't be suprised if she started doing it while I sleep too.

Joey does this only he does it on the nape of my neck and it hurts! But no does not work with Joey, I just have to ignore him until he goes away!

Tinkerbell kneads my neck & face too, she also puts her head under under my chin and pushes my head up with hers & tries to put her nose up my nose haha, she jumps on the bed and does it at about 4am too but I cant get mad at her haha

Galahad kneads on me all night long. It has been 3 months since I've had a good night's sleep. He's so danged cute, though! Just thankful he doesn't seem to know he could knead my face and hair. Whew!

Mojo gives me nuzzles every night. She puts her paws on either side of my neck and kneads. She licks on my neck/chin too. It's very sweet; we just have to make sure her claws are clipped regularly.

The only problem is that sometimes she decides she needs nuzzles RIGHT NOW at about 3-4:00 in the morning, and if I'm facing the wrong direction, she'll pull on my ponytail and push as hard as she can into the back of my neck with her head and nose until I roll over. But all she wants is lovin'...how can I be mad at her? Besides, I also know it's very likely that she was taken from her mother too early and this is her comfort, so then I really can't be mad at her!

Maddox doesn't knead my hair, but he tries to clean it! He just ends up sneezing because my hair is too long and gets up his nose, but he will sit on the back of the couch and lick my boyfriend's hair for minutes on end.

To wake me up, Maddox pets my face with his paw. Sometimes, when he REALLY wants me to get up, he pets my face with his claws out...

my cat keylah stretches out in my arms when we're trying to go to sleep and starts needing my face and arms with her claws, which is a bit painful, purring and drooling, lol until I tap her paws to get her to stop lol.

my other cats, especially the females, when I make kissing noises and am within reach, will often come up and head but me / rub their cheeks against mine.

I've seen this happen between the cats themselves, where one will rub up against another then walk off, and I think that it is a natural sign of affection between cats as well which can be extended to humans. it's like a "hello" "i'm here" "how are you" sort of thing.

my cats do that to each other too!

my Junebug does this from time to time when I am sleeping.If i ignore her she ends up sleeping on my head with her paw in my face or she gives me love bites, usually she does this when she wants to go out, but I am too lazy to let her and she knows she stays in during the night.
