Do mom cats shed more when they are nursing? I have a siamese mix that has so much hair in with her and her kittens it looks like someone shaves her each night! She is only a year, so I am not familiar if it is a breed thing, or something to do with her nursing?
She got pretty gaunt looking at first, but the vet told me to start mixing in some kitten food. She has bulked back up again, which I would have thought would have stopped the shedding if that was a side effect of her not getting enough of the right food.
Anyone know?
