Hi all! I'm from Victoria Australia, I love cats (duh), and I found this site while looking up how to stop cats peeing when/where they shouldn't.

I have a moggie with my mother called Tasha (I'd have her here if I could, but she's been so long with my mother's cat we can't separate them, and we can't afford three cats. I miss her terribly though!), and my partner has a full ginger kitty at least half feral called Bastet. Bastet was found at 4 weeks of age in the backyard in some tires and brought inside. At first she was really timid, but as soon as my partner lay on the bed, she walked up to him, looked at him, and sat down. He moved her away. She came back. He moved her away. She came back, looked at him, curled up next to him and went to sleep. I took one look at his face, and said "You want to keep her, don't you?" "No... ok, yes."
That little timid kitty soon showed her feral side and no feet (or canes in the case of my father in law- we live with my in laws atm) were safe.
She's settled down a bit more now. She's learned that falling in the toilet means a bath, and no longer tries to play with the water in the bowl. The shower and running taps we don't mind.
Feet are now almost always safe.
She likes simple homemade toys over anything we buy... A rolled up ball of tin foil is more entertaining than a plastic ball. Any plastic bag is fair game (annoying when you're trying to put the shopping away), and the square tube box that kept the shape of the tent in the bag we bought... well, new hiding place!

She shares the house with my in laws cat, who I am beginning to suspect is bipolar. Hates Bastet, pees on the floor, even licks it up and rolls in it. Nice to humans so I think it's a territorial thing. Bastet holds her own against her so I see no problem with letting them sort it out. She's a figjam, my mother in law loves them. We're in the process of sorting out her problems.
So, that's the cats in my life.

I'm engaged, live with my in laws atm, and love all animals. I had a rat until recently, she died at the age of two and a bit.
Not really much to say about me really. When I get my camera working with the computer, I'll post up a few pics and show you the kittys here.

Wow, thanks for all the hellos guys
It made me feel really welcome

Well, here's Bastet. I hope the pictures don't come out huge. They shouldn't, but if they do, I'll fix them as soon as I can

She was trying to log into my partners World of Warcraft account. One of my characters I actually say is hers :p

And taking a nap on a box of blankets. She loves those blankets for some reason.

If these pics are too big, let me know. I figured as they're showing off a cat, that size should be sufficient to not clog up people's bandwidth, or stretch the threads, and yet still show her cuteness.

Hehe, I won't. When we first found her I thought she was a boy too, because ginger females are so uncommon.
