Ok, She survived her second night home

I decided to feed her Nutro Max Kitten, and later transition her to Orijen, when she gains some weight. I calculated her weight, and she is at least 8 lbs underweight (for a medium Main Coon Mix). Really sad... She is eating ok, not as excited as FF, but ok. I can not leave the food down, as Bugsy also likes it a lot, and the last thing he needs is to gain weight. I am feeding her every hour or so, small portions. As far as wet goes, I will feed her the same as Bugsy, Mulligan's Stew - just easier for me, and the bulk of her nutrition is going to be dry. The wet is going to be more for mixing in the vitamins than anything else, really.

She got out of the bathroom and started to explore the house. No more hissing from Bugsy; I think the Comfort Zone is helping a lot. Lucky still could care less! It's like she doesn't even notice there is a new cat around the house
.

So, as far as I can see, she is eating well, and normal on the litter box - actually boxes, because she uses all three litter boxes in the house
. I am not sure if she is drinking well, but I think so...

Her personality is starting to shine through. She is very skittish, but also very curious - ah, and goes bunkers with catnip!

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I'm smiling such a sad smile right now.... this poor baby.... (that's the sad part) ....but she's in such great hands now (that's the happy part!)

I'm so glad they're settling in so well.
It's great to hear she's already exploring!
I bet that's got you beaming!

One thing I would do... is get a sample of her poop to the vet. If she's got tape worm, I'm betting she's got round worm.
And (at least here), drontal didn't work on the round worm. And definitely stay on top of that three week follow-up, because you do NOT want Lucky or Bugsy to wind up with worms, and they're sharing litter boxes. When we were fostering, it took us about a year to get rid of the round worm from our kitties.
(Turned out to be a fairly med-resistant strain, but what a nightmare!)

Thanks for the tip about roundworms Laurie! She has been treated with Revolution, and also been dewormed at the rescue (but their dewormer don't treat tapeworms, hence the problem). Lucky is also on Revolution... Bugsy is the only one not in it, as he is allergic to it - he is on Advantage.

Yep, I am SO happy she is exploring!!! Right now all of them are in the living room - she is on the window perch, Lucky in the scratcher, and Bugsy with me on the couch. I also saw her drinking out of their fountain
.
I think she is going to be just fine!!

She is a cutie... She has a lot of energy too
. Very skittish with me; not so much with my kitties... Below are some pictures of her exploring:

First and best find in the house: Bugsy's catnip pillow

Meowmy: There is a visitor in the bookshelf!

Yeah... you can feel all the ribs, spine, bones under that long fur... She is quite long though - huge funny neck!

I do hope she turns around nicely........ and that I can give her up afterwords!

I'm sure you're already in love with her.

OK, so I know I'm paranoid about worms (but you can tell from my other post why!), but just FYI, Revolution didn't work for Billy's round worm. (...and Advantage kills fleas and ticks, not internal parasites). ...and I'll leave it at that.

I bet you're going to have some amazing "before" and "after" pics!

Yes, she is a tiny thing
I don't know if that is dirt actually (on her hocks) - she has an yellowish tail, and I think the paws might be the same thing.

Oh, I know - I keep telling myself everyday that she is just a foster, but I know it's going to be hard... Specially because a big part of socializing her is to give her lots of TLC, time, and attention... Hard not to get attached with her!

Lorie: Besides Revolution, she has been dewormed with Strongid and Drontal - I am pretty sure she is going to be fine... The one on advantage is Bugsy, who is allergic to Revolution.

Now to the updates:
She is still very skittish with me, but only when I do sudden movements, like getting up, and such. Once I seat down, or start walking steadily, she is all over me for petting.
She is eating really well, using the boxes, etc. Since Sunday, she has already gained 1.4lbs, and this was until Friday! 1.4lbs in 6 days! Poor thing, she needs it! She is eating Nutro Max Kitten, and Mulligan's Stew wet with added Nutri Um, a high calorie nutrition supplement.
She is completely at easy in the house already. Today she spent a long time playing chase and hide and seek with Lucky!
Bugsy doesn't get too close, but is not hissing anymore. They don't play, but Bugsy is no longer stressed out.
I think this kitty is not 2yr old, as the shelter documents says... She has a lot of kitten personality... Ball of energy, playful, curious, NOT laid back at all! Very very sweet this girl is... I hope she is happy in here also!

She is thin as a rail.
Hopefully she gains weight well, but not too fast. Sounds like she's settling in well at least. Often, it takes a month or more for them to warm up the the people when they aren't so sure of humans, hopefully she warms up quicker than that.
