Morning All!!

Today's question is:

What was your favorite story as a child?

Mine would have to be Charlotte's Web. I remember my Mom reading it to me when I first started school but I think I liked it so much because it was the first book that I read on my own once I started to read. Coming in a close second would be the first novel I ever read and that was Water-ship Down.

Boy, I don't think I had a favorite. I was an avid reader as a girl... I don't take the time like I used to.

One story that made a huge impression on me was "A Dog of Flanders." How this dog was treated cruelly by his owner and saved by a boy... only to have the dog save him in return. The "dog" in this case was a Bouvier des Flandes, used as cart dogs at the time of the story.

As a small child, I adored a book called "Dr. Goat".
When I was a little older, I read and re-read "The Velveteen Rabbit". I also loved "The Littlest Angel".

I've always been an avid reader. When I was really young my first book was The Red Pony by John Steinbeck. I also remember reading and really liked A Dog Of Flanders.

Coming in a close second would be the first novel I ever read and that was Water-ship Down.
I didn't read Watership Down till I was in high school - great book!
