OMG! What is this thing made out of? I opened one up last night for my aby and, after finally figured out to hook it on by the ring in the nose
, she went absolutely crazy. And I don't mean the cute jumping all over the place crazy, but mad crazy. She grabbed it and tried walking off with it all the while growling. When I finally took it out of her clenched mouth and tried to show my roommate, she jumped on the counter and tried ripping it out of my hands. She did that whole tug-of-war thing that dogs normally do trying to get me to let go!

What the heck is this thing made out of? She never reacts that way to furry or other kinds of mice toys. I had to hide it before I left for work today as I'm worried she's going to swallow it whole!

I dont think it's what it's made of... but how it's made. the way it looks, its meant to look like a bird flying. so if your kitty is naturally hyper and protective, chances are she'll go NUTS over it. My kitty is calm by nature like most persians but he goes really crazy over this toy... not aggressive like how you describe your cat but if it makes a calm cat go hyper really fast, then i guess a normal kitty will go really hyper with something like Da Bird. That toy's CRAZY! ur cat probably thinks it's pray like an actual bird.

I'm asking about the mouse refill for it, not da bird attachment itself. Those are just feathers. Here is a link to what the mouse looks like. It has an odd scent to it as well, but I can't make it out. All it says is "handmade" but it doesn't have any material listed.
