I hope everyone has a Happy Mothers/Meowmy's day....doesn't matter who you are mom to, children, pets, you are still a momma, a caregiver who loves their baby(s)

^ I agree with your last statement!!

I have 3 cats (that i consider mine altho we have 5 all together), my dog, and two horses that i consider my babies!! When we have dinner on Mothers Day, all the moms in the family get to get their food first, i have tried numerous years to get in that line, but they all make fun of me and my babies!!
This year will be different! I dont get anything except kisses from da babies, which is just as good

Happy Meowmy's Day everyone!!

Thanks for putting that up!! I just went and did it. That's a fun place!

So mothers day is sad for me.
I do consider my cats my kids.
I'm sorry
But see? You ARE a mom to your sweet kitties. So accept a big Happy MEOWMY'S Day from me a few days early

Ditto. My Mom died back in 1978 when I was 15 years old. (2 weeks before I turned 16). She died on Valentine's Day so not only is Mother's Day sad for me, but so is Valentine's Day.

My kitties are my babies and I consider myself their fur mommy or Meowmy. They don't get me anything, but they do give me lots of love during the year so I know they love and appreciate me

He's getting there. He nods and says "Yes, ma'am" to a lot, but I'm having trouble with this one! I even told him yesterday it was a thread on TCS about Meowmys & Mothers Day. Maybe he'll surprise me, although I'm not really counting on it

I did get him a birthday card from the cats one year. Maybe he'll get me a Meowmy Day card from the cats.

Ummm…. They should wish you a happy mothers day!!! There is no argument there. I have made it quite clear with my circle of acquaintances and co-workers that I am a Mother of 4 and I demand to be treated as such LOL.

My boyfriend knows this and always buys me Mothers day presents. There is only one guy at work who argues with me that I am not a Mother and we have been arguing about it for about two weeks now (heâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s a good friend).

I am a Mom, you are a Mom, everyone here who has a cat is a Mom (or Dad) and thatâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]s that! If you have a problem with that and you find litter box pieces on your desk… ummm..i swear it wasnâ€[emoji]8482[/emoji]t me LOL.

We were talking about this just yesterday. DH said he wasn't going to get me anything because I wasn't a mom... yet! I reminded him that I most certainly am and even if being almost 9 months pregnant doesn't count I'm mommy to the two brats (who got him a card for his b-day on the 5th!). I also informed him that they even make cards of mommies-to-be. His response was... "Damn you Hallmark!"

We do call the cats kids and we are mommy & daddy bit we've never gone further than that... like getting gifts or cards from them (usually) but I know he was just joking about the baby. We like to tease each other.

DH better darn well remember me on Meowmy's Day. I am Mom of Many after all! Doesn't matter that all my kids are 4 legged rather than 2 legged.

Seriously, DH gets me something every mother's day and signs the card from all the cats and dogs. They also get me birthday and Christmas gifts. My furkids are very thoughtful. DH in turn gets gifts from the kids for father's day, birthday and Christmas. I get things like jigsaw puzzles with cats or dogs on them, and I give things like CD's with either an animal in the band name or an animal song (Los Lobos, Will the Wolf Survive? for example). Or sometimes we find things that we use that will involve the kids (our dogs like to help DH garden, so DH gets gardening tools).

I just got a Mother's Day card in the mail...from my cats!

My old roomie sent it to me from MA, and he signed it with all my cats' names. I got a huge smile out of it. So I think it counts for sure.

That would be hilarious to send one from Bella to my mom and grandma!! I never thought of that

I'm going to write on our fridge erase board "Happy Mother's Day to Jackie and Katie!" (Me and my mom.) See if I get any recognition.

Somehow I knew all of you would agree with me!

In that case I think I hear my kitties telling me to take the rest of the day off and go get a pedicure! I've been wanting to get one for weeks (since I can't reach my own feet) and I'm so tired today I can barely see straight.

My Koko bought me a pedicure one year. She is overly obsessed with licking my toes and I think she was telling me to clean them up for her!

Wickett has a foot fetish too. I almost hate to take the time off (maternity leave coming up and all) but I'm about to fall asleep at my desk. That can't be good and my feet desperately need some attention.
