My new Singapura!

I missed this entirely! Firecracker's gorgeous!!! I love the look of Singapura's, and always enjoy it when Beth (flisssweetpea) posts pictures of hers! Now we have 3 on TCS!

You need to start a running thread in fur pics of your non-bengals so we can keep up when you sneak a newbie in.

He is gorgeous.

In that first pic, he does have the "firecracker" look.... almost like the lil bratty look

He is absolutely superb!

I love Singapuras, I considered them but didn't opt for one because I was concerned that as they were so small they might find Radar a bit much (Radar isn't even 8lbs himself but I get bullied by him sometimes and I'm a lot bigger!) but apparently they hold their own with other active cats very well. If anything, he has a look on his face that indicates he might become a bit of a ringleader for any troublemakers

No seriously he is absolutely lovely, a fine looking cat, you are very lucky and I am very envious

Oh WOW Nial! I've been away from the board (working too hard ) and missed this thread. I saw the Singapura siggy and just knew that it must mean good news. Firecracker is a little stunner isn't he! Not long now Oh boy are you going to have fun once the whole crowd get together

Things that my two LOVE to play with - cable ties or the plastic surround from a the big plastic milk containers; anything that looks like a mouse tail and pen tops. Tolly loves to bat those around the floor.

Looks like I won't get Firecracker until the Raleigh show in mid July now.

His breeder has been showing him in CFA and he is close to Granding, so he wants to put him in another show in June, on the same weekend I was going to pick him up in Tampa.

I can understand him wanting to do this as it's important for him to Grand so his dam can be closer to getting her outstanding dam award.

So anyway, I won't get to show him in Tampa and will have to be patient a bit longer.

Nial, will you be showing anyone at the same show, and get to see Firecracker? I don't know how you're being so patient!

Well no.....

Long story short, he somehow got a wound on his head 4 months ago and it still hasn't healed. So we are unfortunately shifting gears and will pick a different kitten from the same breeder.
Disappointing, but stuff happens that is out of anyone's control. We've been wanting a Singapura for years, so waiting a bit longer won't kill us, I guess.

Aww sorry for a delay in your Singapura, but I'm sure the wait will be worth it. BTW can you name this one?

Firecracker's condition has improved dramatically and I have spoken with a respected TICA judge, also a Singapura breeder who looked at Firecracker this weekend. She says he's ok, a fine show cat and is none the worse for wear.

So, it's on again.

We're happy about that, because we do love the way Firecracker looks.

The plan is to pick him up on the same trip I'm taking to pick up our Scarlet Macaw. So in 2 weeks or so, we should have 2 new editions!
