because I've found reading other answers quite interesting, I decided to answer it myself

Cat Owner Questions
1. How many cats do you have? 3

2. How many people are in your household? 4, 2 adults, 2 children


3. Why did you decide to get a cat? (example: companionship)
I have always loved cats since childhood. I enjoy their companionship, attitudes, independence in the sense that I could go away for a weekend and the cats would be fine.

4. Do you consider your cat a family member? of course

5. Where do you shop for your cat necessities (food, toys, and treats)?
Walmart, PetValue, PetsMart


6. How much do you spend monthly on cat necessities? probally about $20, but honestly I have not kept track.

7. Do you dress your cat in clothes or adorn it with pretty collars? no. They all have collars tho.

8. What makes you choose the cat food you buy? the ingredients in it, whether it agrees with kitties tummies, and the price

9. How many times a year do you take your cat to the vet? depends on whether there's a concern. If no concern it would be once a year for routine checkup and vaccines if needed, flea meds.

10. How much do you spend yearly on vet visits? again, it depends on the health of the cat. My one cat whom I got with health issues, I've spent at least $500 on, and he hasn't had all his shots yet. The kittens will go in for shots, deworming and initial checkup. So this year, probally $1000 once all is said and done (health issues, neutering, vaccines) Without any health issues, vet would only be about $100/yr


11. Do you believe in spaying/neutering your cat? definately


12. Do you have your cat groomed? no. I brush them myself


13. Are you a vegetarian? no

15. Do TV commercials affect what brands of cat food you buy? not at all. I research then buy.

16. If you were to adopt/rescue a cat, what would be your reasoning behind doing so? because they need a good home.

18. Do you let your cat roam wherever they want in your home? yes, with the exception of my snake room.

8.\tWhat makes you choose the cat food you buy? Mine are raw fed, because I feel that's what is best for them

3. Why did you decide to get a cat? (example: companionship) Because I love cats, and I missed my parent's cat.

4. Do you consider your cat a family member? Of course.

5. Where do you shop for your cat necessities (food, toys, and treats)? I get their food, treats and toys from Skipton's, a local pet store, and I get their litter from BJ's.

6. How much do you spend monthly on cat necessities? 100$-200$

7. Do you dress your cat in clothes or adorn it with pretty collars? No clothes, Maddox has a skull collar, but he hates it, so I don't make him wear it.

8. What makes you choose the cat food you buy? I feed Maddox a raw diet and a little organic dry food because of the research I did and various reviews I've read. Matty was eating dry food from the dollar store when he was with the people I took him from, so now he eats Maddox's organic dry food because I don't think he knows raw food is actually for him to eat. I only got him Friday, so hopefully he'll be eating raw soon-ish!

9. How many times a year do you take your cat to the vet? Once a year for a checkup, but we've been 5 times so far this year with another appointment in June because of various medical issues.

10. How much do you spend yearly on vet visits? This year, so far, I've spent over 800$.

11. Do you believe in spaying/neutering your cat? Yes. Both cats are neutered.

12. Do you have your cat groomed? No. They groom themselves (of course) and I have a cat brush that I use when they're shedding extra. I do clip their nail, but try to get the vet to do it when I can because they don't like their paws held.

13. Are you a vegetarian? No.

14. List your top 4 TV shows: Barefoot Contessa, Dinner: Impossible, Forensic Files, Cartoons (I'm a dork...)

15. Do TV commercials affect what brands of cat food you buy? No, not really. I've never seen the brands I buy advertised.

16. If you were to adopt/rescue a cat, what would be your reasoning behind doing so? I did adopt and rescue both my cats. I adopted Maddox because I wanted an adult cat, and I liked him best out of the cats in the community room at the SPCA, and I rescued Matty because he was being neglected and I felt bad for him. So, pretty much to give both cats a good home.

17. Do you let your cat sleep in bed with you? Maddox does (he takes up about a third of the bed). Matty doesn't (yet) because I'm still keeping him shut away from Maddox.

18. Do you let your cat roam wherever they want in your home? Maddox (and Matty soon also) is not allowed on the kitchen countertops, and he's not supposed to be on the dining room table or the computer table, but he goes up there anyway.

19. What do you value most in life? Family, friends, love, my kitties.

20. What is your favorite movie genre? Fantasy. Or musicals.

3. Why did you decide to get a cat? (example: companionship) I've had cats since I was 5 years old, and when my cat passed away I knew I would never live without one. I guess you could say compainonship because I live alone.

4. Do you consider your cat a family member? Yes

5. Where do you shop for your cat necessities (food, toys, and treats)? Pet Store


6. How much do you spend monthly on cat necessities? $150 - 250

7. Do you dress your cat in clothes or adorn it with pretty collars? Once in a while, but they hate it.

8. What makes you choose the cat food you buy? Combination of quality & price


9. How many times a year do you take your cat to the vet? At least once, more if they are sick

10. How much do you spend yearly on vet visits? Yearly exams for all 4probably $200, but I have probably spent close to $1,000 a year on Jordan for the last 2 years, due to illness.


11. Do you believe in spaying/neutering your cat? Absolutely


12. Do you have your cat groomed? Long haired one gets sanitary shave only.

16. If you were to adopt/rescue a cat, what would be your reasoning behind doing so? All 4 of mine are adopted from a shelter & the reason is that there are an endless number of wonderful animals that need good homes.

6. How much do you spend monthly on cat necessities? Not a clue
7. Do you dress your cat in clothes or adorn it with pretty collars? Like they'd actually let me do that!!!

8. What makes you choose the cat food you buy? Depends on the cat. For example, Nermal will only eat ProPlan canned food and nothing else. Shadow & Spaz are on weight control food.


9. How many times a year do you take your cat to the vet? At least once.

10. How much do you spend yearly on vet visits? No idea, although I've spent almost $5000 in the last 2 years due to illnesses.

16. If you were to adopt/rescue a cat, what would be your reasoning behind doing so? I've only adopted from a pet store once, but I've rescued many ferals over the last 20 years. Most recently Baby Boy last year.
