My little Tater Tot has passed over the RB
He fell asleep in my lap and never woke up!

I don't know what happened as he got a clean bill of health yesterday
and today... he's gone

I'm beside myself right now............

How sad! I was just reading your post about getting Tater Tot. The only thing I can think is that he must have had some kind of heart defect. I can't imagine what it would be like, but I'm glad you were holding him at the end so he didn't die alone.
Play happily at the bridge little Tater Tot
Your meowmy misses you.

Oh, no! I just saw your post on getting Tater Tot. A heart defect sounds likely. I am so sorry. He looked like such a little doll.

Rest in peace, Tater Tot.

Poor little one...I hope he was dreaming nice dreams.

Did he get shots yesterday? It may have been a vax reaction.

Sorry about your little one - he did have a sweet little back!

RIP little Tater Tot

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know it's just as hard to lose a cat you've had only a short time as it is one you've had your whole life.

No, he didn't get any shots yesterday as he was way too tiny. He was only 6 weeks old and very underweight.

He is buried next to his big brother Joey in the yard along with flowers, and seashells

Did he die after you took the pictures?, because i shrank them last night and thought he was lying strange then?

Play happily at the bridge baby. Theres lots of surrogate mums waiting to look after you there

Fighting for ferals in NW NJ!
I'm so sorry
But he was not alone - he was being loved, was warm, and was comfortable. He came to you to help him find his way to the bridge - it is a difficult role, but as it was his time, it was a sweet way for him to go.

I don't know why little Tater tot's story got to me in such an unusually profound way, but my eyes are watering right now as they were last night. I think it has to be because I can identify so much in raising a kitten and watching it sleep and thinking is he going to wake up..it's the worst thing to go from the joy of having a new kitten to the other extreme of mourning for his loss
I am so very sorry that you had to go through with it
Lots of
