Howdy... Here is the thread about Jack having diarrhea for a long time for background if you want it.

http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=196033

The short version is this... it finally stopped his last poop was Sunday morning at 5:30am... and it was loose but not like it had been. He hasn't gone since. He has been peeing more than usual but not a ton.
I withheld food from him from Saturday evening about 5:30 until Sunday at about noon. (at 5:30 saturday i gave him some pumpkin) Sunday i started feeding him boiled chicken and a small amounts of pumpkin filling. I fed him the same yesterday but a little more than I did sunday. Today I have added small amounts of his own food in to his feeding schedule in addition to the pumpkin and chicken.

So the question is... Where is the poop? I talked to teh vet this morning and they told me to keep giving him the pumpkin... At what point would you become concerned? Any idea when I should see a hopefully normal stool from him? and while we hope... preferably in the litter box again
.

So strange first I wanted nothing but him to stop pooping... and now... sheesh becareful what you wish for. What a strange obsession these last couple weeks.

Keep watching. Personally I'd have him in tomorrow if he doesn't go by then. Something could definitely be wrong and making sure there is nothing seriously wrong with his intestinal tract could mean the difference between life and death.

I hope...well I hope he poops?
(odd thing to wish for)

Is it that odd for them not to go for a few days when they have had a bad bout of diarrhea for over a week ? Ok well lets hope he goes so you don't have to worry anymore....

I have no idea. I wouldn't have thought so if someone hadn't suggested I keep a close eye on him... hopefully I am just being paranoid.
