Hi all,

As you know I'm a novice with cats and kittens and I'm tending to fret a bit over my kittens. They will be one week old tomorrow.

I've been watching them closely but I don't seem to see any poop from them. They are feeding away fine and I notice that their mother has been licking them and licking around their bottoms and stuff. But I don't see any poop in the basket or on the towels. Maybe it's because they are so small. I dont' notice any smell or anything either. Am I worrying too much or should I be concerned about this?? Thanks

The mother takes of care of it when they are very young, she licks to stimulate and then consumes the waste.

Once they are on solid food, then they will need a litter pan and mum will stop licking their behinds to make them go.
