1. Where is your hometown?

I was born in Ft Worth Texas and lived there until I was 10. Since then I've lived in Stephenville, TX other than the years I was at college.

2. How would you describe yourself socially? (Shy, Outgoing, etc.)

I am fairly introverted but once I get to know you, I'm pretty outgoing. I need a lot of "alone" time, tho.

3. What is a topic you wish you knew more about?

How to successfully homeschool. I'm not really happy with public schools for my daughter right now.

4. Do you have any Bothers and/or Sisters?

I had one older brother who died in 2004. I miss him very much.

5. What's your Dream Job?

I really have no idea.....

6. Do you like to Dance?

No---and it shows.

7. If you were a color what would you be, and why?

Pink---it's so vibrant and lovely.

8. Have any pets other than your kitties?

Yes, I have 2 dogs: Sally, a shar pei / schnauzer and Katie, a border collie / cocker spaniel.

9. What type of music do you like?

Classic rock and classical (Mainly Mozart)

10. Do you have any TV shows you watch regularly?

Curb Your Enthusiasm, Brothers and Sisters, Gray's. I also like Discovery Health shows.

11. Can you drive a stick shift?

Yes indeedy! That's what I've driven for most of my life, including now!

12. What do you do to vent frustration?

Pull weeds, talk online.

13. How many different places have you lived in?

Four different towns, 9 different residences.

14. What kind of books do you like to read?

Medical stuff, classic literature.

15. What is your favorite hobby?

Soap making, gardening, baking.

1) What is your favorite meal of all time?

I suppose it would be crab cakes. However, I am now a vegetarian, so I suppose eggplant parmigian would take the honors.

Yes.

3) How do you spend your weekends?

We usually catch up on errands, chores around the house. We may go into the city for a good meal and shopping. On Sundays my daughter usually swims.

4) How many cats do you have and what are there names?

Three cats---Felix is my former feral, tuxedo boy. He is 4 years old. Sheba is my almost 3 year old American Wirehair who was born smooth. Ziggy is 2 and is also a Wirehair, but he is kinky. Ziggy and Sheba are full siblings, but from 2 different litters.

5) Any other pets, non feline?

Yes, 2 dogs.

6) What is your favorite scent?

I once grew some carnations in my garden. They had a very spicy, almost clovelike scent. It was out of this world!

7) What would you say is your best quality?

I am loyal.

8) What's your worst quality?

Bad temper.

9) What's your favorite childhood memory?

Spending the night at my grandmother's house and getting to sleep in bed with her!

10) What's the worst movie you've ever seen?

I walked out of "War of the Roses."

Probably my husband, unless he doesn't pick up his phone!

12) Do you drink coffee? If so, how do you like it?

I like it with a touch of cream and sugar or a cappucino. No flavorings--yuck!

13) What's your worst habit?

Making a mess of the kitchen and leaving it to my husband to clean.

14) What is on your fridge?

Pictures of my daughter, fridge magnet from vet's office, the school schedule for the year.

15) What CD do you listen to most often?

Anything Elton John.

When she was 7 weeks old, we were at a party and she and I were sitting in another room, as she was nursing. I was sooooooo tired and then I looked down at her and she broke into a HUGE, milk tinged smile that just melted my heart. I've never told anyone about that until just now....

17) What was your first cat's name?

When I was a child, my family's cat was named Emma. The first cat I ever got was named Hannah.

18) If you could live in another state, where would it be and why?

Colorado, because the times I've visited there, I felt SO alive and really liked all the beauty of the mountains.

Don't really have one...

I once tooted in yoga. And yes, that was my LAST yoga class!

Not being stressed out!

I'm not a fan of lots of fried things.

I love my big bed.

Get a college education.

I grew up in not very good circumstances. I have, however, improved my "lot in life" through a lot of hard work and determination.

Love it---I grow it in the backyard.

Both--I have a cat-safe backyard and they go in and out at will through a pet flap.

Felix will ONLY eat dry---Taste of the Wild
The wires eat TOTW in the morning and raw food at night.

5. Name something (or someone) that annoys your kitties.

"Stranger cats" from across the street get on the front porch and they all howl like sirens. I go out and make it very "unpleasant" for the cat and shoo it back home. By unpleasant I mean clapping and yelling.

6. Where are their favorite places to sleep?

Felix---any bed
Sheba--top bunk of the cat condo
Ziggy--a heated bed or my lap

7. Do you trim their nails or does someone else?

I do it. They are all VERY easy.

8. Do you or have you ever taken them somewhere to get them groomed?

Nope. It's all done here.

9. Have you ever given your kitties a bath?

All three of them have been bathed. No problem. The wires LOVE water, so aren't freaked in the least.

10. Name the funniest thing your cats ever did.

Watching them play with Da Bird the first time was hilarious!


11. How did they get their names?

Felix---He was feral and originally I was doing a TNR but then named him. He looks just like Felix the cat.

Sheba--My neighbor offered her to me and I brought her home for a "test ride" one evening. I took her back and said that she'd walked around like the "queen of Sheba" and when I eventually took her home for good, I found that her papers said, "Sheba Wired 4 Action" as her name.

Ziggy--I actually named Ziggy his pedigreed name: Happy 2B Nappy (call name Imus was chosen by the breeder) long before I ever thought he'd be MINE. However, shortly after his papers were done, it was discovered that he had a kink tail, so could not be used for show or breeding. My neighbor then offered him to me. I didn't like the thought of calling him Imus, so changed his name to Ziggy. It suits him.


12. Where and how did you get/find them?

I think I answered that in question #11. LOL

Actually, Felix became really and truly mine after I found him injured one morning. He was unable to walk due to inner ear issue so he came in to "recuperate." He's never gone back out!!!!

Yes, I have 2 with edibles and several with flowers. The veg garden has tomatoes, spinach, chard, squash, zucchini, cucumbers and green beans. The herb has lavender, echinacea, garlic, oregano, rosemary, lemon balm and catnip.

22) What's sitting on your computer desk right now?

Well, Ziggy just left...but---I have my camera, a notepad, box of printer paper, prescription receipts, phone, etc.

Generally tidy.

No, not really.

She will be 12 on May 13.

Toyota Rav4--2002. It's white with gray interior.

ER was the last one I did.

Hmmmmmm, nothing is really floating my boat right now.

I'm currently a fan of star gazer lilies---ohhhhh, that scent!

I like playing in the surf. Otherwise, just messing around in our backyard pool. Nothing too strenuous.

25. Any summer plans?

Swim team with my daughter. We're also going to California in a few weeks to see in-laws (sigh). In July we travel to Colorado Springs for my daughter to compete in the State Games of America!!!!! We will be busy!

26. Where did you go on your last vacation?

Cancun.

27. What was the last thing that annoyed you?

My daughter's behavior--still annoyed after a fitful night's sleep.

Watching Felix flop around in a big box on the kitchen floor.
