So anyone have any suggestions to help to ease my Allergy Eyes?

The birch tree right beside my deck has decided that it is time to start budding. Needless to say my pollen allergies have struck with full force. I have been using my allergy eye-drops which help for about and hour but nothing is working very well.
Laid down for a bit after dinner and by the time I woke up my eyes were almost stuck shut.
I am going to try a tea bag in a few minutes to see if that improves them.
Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Tea bags do wonders for me. Also, I have one of those freezable eye masks and I wear that to bed. That way I can actually open my eyes in the morning! The cold is very soothing.

Thanks for the suggestion, I do have an eye mask so I will give it a try. It wouldn't be so bad except it is raining which means the pollen instead of being blown away is just coating everything in my deck area.

When my eyes would be super itchy and nothing seemed to help I have a washcolth soaked in cold water and not completely wrung out. I fold into thirds and lay down and press into my eyes. I keep it fairly wet so the weight of the washcloth pressed into my eye area. I flip it around a couple of times to keep it cold on my eyes. It seems to bring some relief. I've rubbbed my eyes so bad in the past that I had HUGE bags underneath that would take several hours for the swelling to go down.

I know all about that one, mine swell up so badly sometimes I look like one of the bubbled eyed goldfish. Another side effect as well is the feeling I have something in them from the mucus that keeps forming...
I called the pharmacy this morning so they are going to fax a request to my doctor for a prescription allergy medicine, I am concerned it will turn to conjunctivitis which I really don't need.
