So after all of the difficulties Jordan has had, I thought we were finally in the clear. I made the appointment for his final blood calcim check. Then last night I noticed he has what I am sure is a hematoma (sp?). So I called the vet today & of coarse they had not vet openings for tomorrow. So I'm taking off a couple hours early & he's going to the vet. I will have the blood work done at the same time. I am sure that this is a result of the fighting that has been going on as he has a tooth mark in the other ear. I think Isaac got sick of Jordan dominating him & was trying to dominate Jordan. So wish us luck, unfortunately I'm sure Jordan will need some sedation to get a through exam. Maybe they can take a look at Isaac's teeth while I'm there to tell me if he needs a dental as bad as I think he does. Well so much for spending my tax return on something for me. Easy come easy go, at least I won't have to go further into debt.

My beloved Buster had a hematoma in his ear in 2002. I put on a collar on him and he hated it. So he tried taking it off for hours and ultimately popped a vessel in his ear. By the morning, the ear was so filled with blood that it was completely folded over. As a result, the vet agreed to squeeze him in for an emergency appointment. I also agreed to do a dental because Buster was receiving anesthesia, so we might as well get that over with.

After the surgery, Buster wore a bandage on his ear for a few times. His ear always looked crumpled after that but that's what made him special!

Wishing Jordan good luck!
