Ok, so Kitty has started this "new" thing. I'm not sure if he's doing it because I have made the fishtank inaccessible to him, and he's bored/mad, or what. But anyway, he has started obsessively playing with (and ruining) the metal and rubber weather stripping that lines the bottom of my front door! I rent an apartment, so I really don't want him doing this. I have tried re-directing him with toys and play - he just acts aloof and like he doesn't want to play. Which, to me, makes no sense if he was doing it out of boredom. I've also caught him lying at the door when I get home from work, which his paw stuck out under it into the hallway. And he's also taken to bolting down the hallway of my apartment building as soon as I open the door. He only used to go "exploring" occasionally, and when he did, it was very tentative and he would walk close to the ground. Now, he bolts down the hallway like he's on a mission! He's just started doing this in the past week or so - what gives? Is it spring fever?? What can I do about his obsessive pawing at the weather stripping??? Thanks!
