I think so....mine does what that one was doing in the video, but louder and sort of ending with a meow....usually when he wants food, or right when I first get home (not sure if it's a greeting or that he wants food, or both, in this case)...

That's what I call trilling. My Siamese cat is much louder about it; Speck makes kind of a little singing noise.

I have to agree with some of the people that posted comments on You Tube about the video.

The cat is probably in heat. When our girls are in heat, they respond to anyone speaking to them in the same way as this cat does.

The bengal trill is a different noise and only made occasionally when excited about something or in a greeting.

I assume other breeds behave similarly, as our Maine Coon trills in greeting to us.

That cat is more of a trill-purr noise. When I think of trilling.... it's kind of more musical.... PRRrrrrRRRRrrrrp. I have looked after some cats that trill- meow... rrroooowrrrrrrrrrrrp. It's almost like a chirp/gargly noise.

I would not be surprised if Cammy does it b/c it is happy friendly noise.

Siamie says "BurrrRowl!" Speck says "Rmmph...and Burrrr!" Speck also chatters like a chipmunk if he sees a ladybug or a light or anything else interesting on the ceiling.

Jasper does this as a greeting (I think). Most often when he comes in and wants feeding but also when we get up in the morning or have been out at work.
