Just looking

My 3 year old and I have an outing planned today. We are going to the Nebraska Humane Society to "just look" at all the dogs and cats. I think the NHS has to be one of the nicest, cleanest places I've ever seen. What a big difference from the ones in Louisiana, where we used to live!!

Uh-huh. "Just looking", indeed. THAT'S how I got Buddy. Because of this month's two-for-one special, I am forbidden to get within a mile of our Humane Society.

I just can't go "just looking".

That's right I forgot to mention that cats are 1/2 price this month.

Cora, I didn't know you were from Nebraska? Are you from Lincoln? Just curious! There aren't many Nebraskan on this board. Maybe 4...I think. Heidi (valanhb) is originally from Seward, Jin&Spawn might be originally from Omaha...

Michelle, We are in Bellevue. This is our first time living in the mid-west. My husband is active duty at Offutt AFB. We are still learning to love the Huskers but we really like it here.
