My boy Cubby's ears sometimes feel really hot as if they are burning. Anyone know about this? He had a bit of an accident last night, and I comforted him and put him on my bed with the electric blanket on as he seemed to be almost humiliated.
I noticed his ears were very hot for quite a while before the blanket even warmed up.

Also, a neighbourhood kitten had been stealing my cats' food. I know she has a mother as she wears a collar to which I attached a note, and I got a phone call. However - this small cat attacks Cubby and swipes at him.
Do you think that his would be the cause of little pimple sized sores around his head, neck and ears? I have bathed them in warm salt water.
Poor fellow, he has had a bit of a hard time lately!

I would check for fleas, and have him tested for ringworm. Sometimes stress will cause a cat or kitten to break out with ringworm.

Cats disapate body heat through their ears. This is most likely why his ears were hot to the touch.
