Bellatrix went into labour 30-45 minutes ago her plug came out and her back legs were damp she went to her cupboard, was having contractions and a sack appeared everything then seemed to slow down and the sack seems to have gone back up! Think she is still contracting but less and licking herself like crazy! Is this ok?

Keep watching her birthing the kittens and ensure she delivers a placenta after each one. Having a placenta stay in the uterus will cause infection if not delivered. Most moms eat the placentas pretty quickly too, so if you're not present during the birth, this is often a complication. I know you're there, so go see!! LOL. It's so much fun to be there for the birth, to keep mom calm--she wants your support

She is soo chilled out its unbelievable!
She is watching me when i leave the room so am trying to stay present....she cleaned kitty up then seemed to be chewing/cleaning the blanket behind him when i looked there was a pinky/red slimy mark there so i presume that was the placenta

She has 2 now, both born breech! poor baby seems knackered!! just had to ease the placenta out for number 2 as she i think was too pooped!! she was cleaing kitty 2 but showing no signs of delivering the placenta. It slid straight out when i gently tugged it.......Is she likely to be finding this harder with both being breech births??

Just keep by her and count kittens and placentas. I've had kittens deliver and that kittens' placenta was pushed out by the next kitten, so 2 of them came out together.

All placentas are accounted for she's doing well but very tired! She's just had 2 black and white as well in quick sucession so we are on 5 kittys and counting....I am sure there is still movement so ....watch this space!

Hi. She stopped at 5 had a feel of her belly and it felt quite slack and empty so i think that was her lot! I think the movement i could feel may have been "aftershocks" of the delivery, the muscles contracting back maybe? I was being very careful to touch her lightly as i appreciated how icky she must have felt! They are all SOOOOO cute!! 5 tiny little fluffy bundles of cuteness!
Will post pictures and an update later on I have just dropped my little one at school and am going to have a sleep!! Thanks to all for the kind words and advice and to any other expectant Kitty mommas!
