How DID she get her job, that is a very good question.

Yes, she definitely ruffled some feathers with her comments. What made it particularly disturbing was apparently some months ago she was taken to task for the same issue less publicly and given correct information which apparently she had forgotten. Canadian powers-that-be are not impressed.

PS: Love your siggie - Mercedes is very pretty.

Yes, Napolitano misspoke about 9/11........ BUT, concern over terrorists crossing the border out of Canada AND Mexico via our porous borders is a cause of much concernment by our government, as well it should be.

Canada: 17 Suspected Muslim Terrorists Arrested
News from the Toronto Star, the BBC and Associated Press via Fox News states that 17 Muslims have been arrested, on terrorism charges. The individuals had apparently planned terror attacks in southern Ontario.

Southern Ontario is in Canada so I don't see how their planned attack on Southern Ontario had any impact on the US.

I just think that if you are going to issue a public statement you should have your facts straight. If the 9/11 terrorists had actually come through Canada into the US then nobody would have questioned her statement. Being Canadian we would probably have gone overboard apologizing again and again for allowing such a thing to happen.

The US problem with Mexico is very different and shouldn't have even been associated or likened in any way with Canada.

The open borders activists types often bring up the Canadian border to divert attention from the problems on the Southern border. I know it isn't policitically correct and is called racist but the truth is that Mexico is a corrupt third world country, Canada is not. There are not thousands upon thousands of Canadians wanting to come into this country because they can't find work or even manage to survive in their own country.
