Hef gets his own thread!! Yay!! He is just so sweet. I was sitting on the porch and I reached down and I put him in my lap but it scared him and he ran away. Then he realized, "well, that wasn't so bad..." and he came back to me and hopped in my lap. I don't think he realized that was an option!

Thanks for explaining! His name fits him perfectly!

I love hearing how everyone's babies get their names, there's usually a fun story behind it

Yeah, it's funny, sometimes I know their name right away, other times it takes a few weeks. Gus was just Gus immediately...Arthur took a while,.

I know they do, but the problem with Hef is he's really bonded to Mel, and Mel is a tough nut to crack. Especially since every time I catch her she has to go through sometthing traumatic like getting a shot, or going to the vet, or getting spayed. I don't think I can separate them.

P.S. It's great that he's coming around.
Oh, Hef was a stray. He was friend;y from the start. A little timid, but his need for affection always won out over being a little shy.

He is soooo gorgeous - and the reason for his name is too funny!

We separated Billy and Bing before Winter came. We found someone to adopt Bing but not Billy. (So we adopted him). They're both happy and doing great.... but we still totally regret having to break them up.
If one of them were totally feral acting and the other wasn't, I don't know what we would have done.
