I have always loved the looks of Bengal’s and have told my boyfriend that sometime in the future a Bengal will be our last cat we get for awhile. He never agreed to this until we went to the Toronto show and he got to see one for himself. He agreed we could have one in the future.

We started talking to the breeder and I told him I don’t know much about Bengal’s other then they are beautiful and extremely mischievous. I mentioned I have always wanted a white Bengal. He told me that white Bengal’s always lose thier coloring as they age, so eventually you will barely if even be able to see the markings.

After seeing his orange (is that a color? They almost reminded me of a beautiful sunset color of orangyness) kitties I decided that’s the color I would want now (even though I have like 1-2 years until we get one lol) But I am curious to see if this is true? Do they really lose their coloring?

Thanks guys!

Completely untrue, at least with the snow lines I've worked with. In fact the markings become darker. What does happen though, is the background color (snow), usually becomes darker as well. They don't stay completely white, but rather turn ivory to light cream colored.

Great! Thanks so much for the information. I figured it wasn't exactly correct considering Ive seen photos of white Bengals that still had visible marking.

Thanks again
