In my last post I had some concerns about why Cali was acting the way she was. ( agressiveness, yowling ect.) I finally figured it out when I saw her sniffing around the house looking for a nesting spot and my Weimaraner Aries was following her around and anywhere she would sniff he would sniff too ( I have to mention Aries looks to cali as a "mom" and is very hurt shes been treating him like this!) but when he would sniff where she would sniff she would get angry and hiss and bat at him and chase him off. Ive noticed lately that she has been looking for higher nesting spots, tops of closets, cabinets, on top of the refrigerator. ITS BECAUSE OF ARIES!! I can't believe I missed it before. Some mothering instincts must be kicking in because she wants to have her kittens up and away from him. duh! so im blocking him out of the bedroom so that his scent isnt as strong so she feels safer to have her kittens on ground level. As safe as it feels to her to be up high its not safe for the kittens. I also took her to the vet for her belly dropping and he says its just the kittens getting heavier. Only 25 days left to go!

Aww, poor Aries. But good detective work and hopefully she'll cooperate and not try to have them somewhere high despite your work. I'm glad you figured out what's upsetting her!

Aww, poor little Aries
must be very disappointed

At lest now you know whats wrong, AND that Cali will be a good Mom to her kitties, maybe a bit protective, but still very good

Man, Cali is getting close- is she getting really big now?

Haha, I can imagine!
In a couple of weeks you should be able to feel them moving- it's such an amazing experience!!
