so..... me and my one and only cat are both on my bed (she was already asleep actually) and my film had just finished i was watching, just as i rolled over to get more comfortable i was certain i saw somthing in the shadows.

well for a second or so i was actually quite concerned, but then i realised what it was..... i always leave my back bedroom window open as this is how my kitty comes and goes from the house, and i have noticed my new neighbour has a cat too which has been snooping around the window. anyway, quickly putting two and two together i guessed it was this neighbours cat that was in my house!

so i grabbed the torch from by my bed, pulled some clothes on and set about trying to find the lil critter! i grabbed my shelby and woke her up to see if she could help? i thought my own cat would smell the other, or act weird or something, but no, she just thought it was breakfast already!

anyway i opened both the front and back door and found the cat hidding in my studio behind one of my guitar amps, so with a little persuasion she came out and i guided her to the door.

so now im wondering is this a regular thing now? is this other cat always in my house? i have seen my shelby hiss at her before outside, but maybe they have become tolerant of eachother? if its ok with my shelby i dont mind, but what should i do if it causes bother? i dont want to shut my cat in, i like her to come and go as she pleases.

That's just tooo funny. Can you talk to your neighbor about it? I know in Britain, folks are more likely to have indoor/outdoor cats and I am sure the neighbor won't want to restrict the kitty's activities.

Is Shelby OK with the other cat? Maybe she likes it better in YOUR house!

I know - I'm not helping.

That's funny! Especially when you woke Shelby up to help...
I hope they can get along nicely so the other cat can continue to come inside.

I'd say just see how it goes. Maybe Shelby will be more tolerant than you think? They can have play dates
. If not then I guess you'll just have to let her out on your terms instead of hers so neighbor kitty doesn't take advantage of the open window policy, lol.

Too funny!

Not much you CAN do if you're leaving your windows open for your kitty.
