Okay so Aya got spayed. Knowing her temerament, I kind of expected this was going to happen, but I was hoping it wouldn't. She won't leave her incision alone.
they warned me when she left the Vet's that she's been after her stitches already and advised me to put clothes on her, or buy a collar.
I opted for the clothes. Went home and tried to get a baby shirt and a large stocking like legwarmer over her to no avail. Talk about fight!
So, I left her alone and in no time at all she was pulling on her stitches! Thank god there's only 3...
So, back in the carrier and 20minutes later through rush-hour traffic we got fitted for a 'conehead', nice clear plastic e-collar.
She was terrified the 2nd time in the car. Apparently now she thinks this means bad things...
Back home she spent 20 frantic minutes walking in reverse, bonking into things and then rolled over on my bed and kicked her way out of it! mind you she's still running and jumping on things like nothing happened otherwise.
I don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow when I have to go to work.
and then I had to give her an antibiotic pill in the eve. Well, i thought I was an expert on cat pilling, but she fought hard, sit it up countless times and broke it in many pieces. I don't know how much actually got in the cat....
