They singled out veterans because of their abilities, and they clearly and fully explained that. Every person on this planet is capable of extremism. But there just aren't that many with the ability to trigger a boobytrap with a light-sensitive diode and a radium capsule.

Oh, I am sure you could learn how to do it online, no big deal.

Everyone is a potential terrorist. Paranoia anyone, good grief people thought Bush was a fear monger.

You might notice that the untrained wannabes are the one's that are constantly failing. Shoes that don't go off, "bombs" that only break windows, suicide bombers who live through it.

It is the trained one's that are being effective.

Bush was a war monger; there's a difference.

Oh, I have heard plenty of liberals harping that Bush's war on terror was fear mongering.

Actually I think it was Cheney with his "without us you'll all die" stance that was considered fear mongering.

No, I distinctly remember it was Bush that was accused of fear mongering.
Maybe the liberals just got it wrong.

Excuse me while I clean my arsenal. I have to protect myself from all of the whackos.

The Report was "not authorized" and has been "pulled"

A contentious "Rightwing Extremism" report that warned of military veterans as possible recruits for terrorist attacks against the U.S. was not authorized, has been withdrawn and is being rewritten, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told Capitol Hill lawmakers.

"The wheels came off the wagon because the vetting process was not followed," Ms. Napolitano told the House Homeland Security Committee on Wednesday.

"The report is no longer out there," she said. "An employee sent it out without authorization."

Ah, yes. Political correctness suppresses the truth yet again. What a country.

Like the political correctness that doesn't allow people to give their opinion about same sex marriage unless you are in favor of it. Be against it and the whacko's will go after you with a vengeance. (Unless you name is Barack Obama, of course, he gets a free pass to be against it)

Oh, but it allows it. Political correctness is simply "being the least offensive to the most people". I just find it terribly funny that the people who complain of "PC" the most, are also the one's who demand it just as much (if not more) than anyone else.

And yes, just exactly like the whacko's that decended on California during the election.

Couldn't resist. Looks like Barack is now talking about fear mongering

"We will be ill-served by the fearmongering that emerges whenever we discuss this issue," he declared.
Ummm, didn't a terrorist plot just get foiled yesterday? I would say there is still a huge terrorist threat by Muslim extremists.
