Another nice story; though it really has nothing to do with cats....

Though this story is about dogs and some very, very kind people; I thought I'd add this anyways. Seems like this forum could use some brightening up!

Earlier today, my friend and I were outside playing basketball, and we heard the barking of a dog from my neighbors house. They didn't have any pets, so I just thought a dog got loose. I saw a little chichaua (how do you spell that?). My friend then remarks "hey it's the Taco Bell dog!". That whole time, I was wondering "when did they get dogs?"....a little while later, I found out that my neighbor was going to find a dog at the shelter, and she found the little dog, just minutes before it was to be put to sleep. I never thought much of my neighbor, but I gained a lot of respect for her today. Though it has nothing to do with cats, I thought I'd share a happy little story with you.

By the way, the dog apparently gets along with cats. But my cat was still afraid of it, though he is bigger than the dog!

That was worth reading - I spent part of today at our local no-kill shelter. Breaks my heart just to see furry babes in cages - but I am so glad your neighbor opened their heart!

Any of God's creatures that gets saved is a wonderful outcome.

MEOW to your neighbor.

Awful, awful news here.

The dog had to be put to sleep. He got loose one day, and he supposedly bit Jessie, my 6 year old neighbor.

Here's the part that REALLY, REALLY PISSES ME OFF: Jessie said THE DOG NEVER BIT HER. The whole time, her parents were the only ones saying it.

There is only one conclusion that I could come up with for this: The girl's parents didn't like the dog, so they made up a story to get it put down. Trust me guys, they are just the kind of snobbish assholes who would do it.

This is sickening

i have a hiding place
if the dog bit her, she would have a bite mark, or would need stitches,
there would be come kind of marking, hence, some kind of proof, right?
